The rupture that had been waiting for came in 1886 when Kitty drew several illustrations for a children's book. After this, Sir William Ingram, Holder of the Illustrated London News, commissioned a drawing of a story 'Kitten Christmas Party. I contained 200 cats, took 11 days to complete and agree Wain brought him to fame overnight. The Chinese call Britain ‘The Island of Hero’s’ which I think sums up what we British are all about. We British are inquisitive and competitive and are always looking over the horizon to the next adventure and discovery.
