How can I transfer a picture to a cake?
I'm trying to put cartoon character of an outline of a cake for me to pipe on it and color etc. Is there an easy way to simply transfer paper instead of the free delivery?
oh no, no, no ….. all you need to do is a FBCT (frozen butter cream transfer )…. are super simple and just like you are coloring a page from a coloring book, but vanilla …. If you google there should be a FEWS FBCT sites that give step by step instuctions (I know for sure cakecentral.com have one) and some may have a video to watch …. but here is how I make a FBCT get your image and turns on a piece of cardboard or something with a hard surface (and that can fit in the freezer) tape down for board / hard surface, then tape a piece of parchment paper on it (do not use wax paper, do not work the same )…. Now all you have is not the color image with frosting. I do the outline and then fill in all after that. Sometimes if the image has numbers or letters beats me to these and add them to the image later. Now once you have completed the picture completely, place in freezer for at least 4 hours … for your good and hard. Once frozen take off freezer and immediately turns to the cake. then slowly peel away the parchment paper. and TAAADAAA …. cartoon image is in the pudding … now just write in any numbers or letters that need to be in the picture (this is just a personal preferance to do this …. sometimes neglected letters or numbers when you look for filling in the FBCT. Its important to flip the image on the right after removing cake from the freezer, as sometimes the image is 'stick' to the parchment paper. If this happens just put the FBCT back in the freezer for 5 minutes and then try again. Or if you do not want to deal with all this, it will take cartoon image a bakery and see if you can print an edible image … as they do when putting a photograph of a person in a cake … Some bakeries do not always do this for people, but if they do the image will cost $ 5.12 are …. bakery depending onthe general. edible ink used to have in craft stores also you need the special paper and a compatible printer
