Game of Death

Original plot

The original plot concerning the role of Lee Tien Hai, a retired martial artist champion faced the Korean underworld gangs. They tell the story of a pagoda where weapons are prohibited, under heavy guard and martial artists highly qualified they are protecting something (which does not identify all the survivors of any material), held in its upper level. The gang leader wants to be part Hai of a group whose purpose is to retrieve the article. That would be the second group to try to do as the first attempt with a previous group had failed. When Hai rejects her younger sister and brother are kidnapped, forcing him to participate. Game of Death (1978)

The 1978 version uses original footage parts married to a whole new storyline share the character of a new Britney Jan, Billy Lo, fighting against blackmail "union" after obtaining international success as a movie star martial arts. Production

Reception

The film was [citation needed] successfully at the box office but was not well received.
