Game of Death
Original plot
The original plot concerning the role of Lee Tien Hai, a retired martial artist champion faced the Korean underworld gangs. They tell the story of a pagoda where weapons are prohibited, under heavy guard and martial artists highly qualified they are protecting something (which does not identify all the survivors of any material), held in its upper level. The gang leader wants to be part Hai of a group whose purpose is to retrieve the article. That would be the second group to try to do as the first attempt with a previous group had failed. When Hai rejects her younger sister and brother are kidnapped, forcing him to participate. Hai, as well as four other martial artists (two of them played by James Tien and Chieh Yuan) then make their way to a five-story pagoda, finding a different challenge on each floor. The adjustment was in Beopjusa pagoda temple Songnisan National Park South Korea.
The pagoda, called Palsang-jon, is the only remaining wooden pagoda in South Korea. At the base of the pagoda are scrambling 50 people black belt in martial arts, while inside the pagoda, they encounter a different opponent on each floor, each more difficult than the previous. Despite its allies are trying to help, they are easily defeated, and Ai must address each of the martial artists in one-on-one combat. He defeats Filipino arts master Martial Dan Inosanto, hapkido master Ji Han Jae, and finally, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who struggles with a free-flowing style reflects Kune Kune Do Lee. Because the character is Kareem great size and strength, and a style wrestling as powerful as that of Lee, which can only be defeated once Hai recognizes that an unusual sensitivity to light is its greatest weakness.
Immediately after defeating the giant guardian, Hai turns and down the stairs, leaving the pagoda. Despite all talk of something waiting to the top flight (now unprotected) of the stairs, there is no mention of any person to recover. No material survivor explains how this will affect Hai or brothers in captivity.
Original production
Despite the pagoda is supposed to have five floors, entire scenes were killed in three plants: the "Palace of the Tiger", where Lee Inosanto face, the "Palace of the Dragon", where he fought Ji Han Jae, and the top floor, where he fought Abdul-Jabbar. Hapkido Master Whang Ing-Sik was scheduled to play the guardian of the first floor, a master of a failure-oriented style, while students life and good friend Bruce Taky Kimura was asked to play the guardian on the second floor, a mantis stylist kung fu.
The aim of the plot of the film was to show Lee's beliefs on the principles of martial arts. As every martial artist is defeated (including allies of Lee), defects in his fighting style are revealed. Some, like the character Dan Inosanto, relying too heavily on fixed patterns of the offensive and defensive techniques, while others lack the economy of movement. Lee defeats his opponents by having a fighting style is a fluid dynamic, unpredictable, and an eclectic mix of techniques. His dialogue often includes references to his weaknesses.

Several years later, Bruce Lee, John Little launched historian Bruce Lee: Journey of a warrior a documentary that reveals the original images and the history of The Game of Death. The documentary also includes a fairly thorough biography of Lee and empties into the filming of Game of Death. The fans still believe there are more shots. Originally intended to be a documentary in its own right, can now be found on the second disc version 2004 Special Edition DVD of "Operation Dragon", along with the documentary Bruce Lee: Curse of the Dragon.

The plot of the film Kim and Yuen allowed to spend much of the movie costumes, usually involving beards and big sunglasses, dark, which hid the fact that bore little resemblance to Lee. Many scenes, including battle scenes are also included brief bits foreground archival footage of the real Bruce Lee from his pre-enter films Dragon, often only lasts a second or two. These clips are easily recognizable due to the difference in film quality between the old and new material.
Various actors involved in Lee's previous films were included in the re-launch the last movie of 1978. For example, Robert Wall, a villain in both road Enter the Dragon and Dragon, plays a kickboxer named Carl Miller, who must contend with Billy Lo. Sammo Hung, who appeared in Enter the Dragon, he served as coordinator of fighting for the re-release of Game of Death, and also appears on the scene as a ring opponent Miller. In order to maintain continuity with images taken from the original combat film, Dan Inosanto (renamed Pasqual) and Ji Han Jae (whose character was anonymous and not be shown until near the end of the film) were gave small parts such as additional agents for the union. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar refused to participate in the re-launch, with another African-American high surrogate (renamed Hakim) included instead. While Chuck Norris is recognized as the star of the film, her role is limited to clips from The Way of the Dragon is inserted into the film.
