In praise of good clean family fun
Ah, the joy of a family night board game fun to play in the dining room table! Of Snakes and Ladders to the monopoly, through tripoly and track, Stratego, Risk and Battleship, board games are simply fun.
When we were young, our films were books and our game consoles stored in boxes on the shelves of the closet. Recently I rediscovered the joy with my granddaughter seven years of age. We decided to watch TV less and spend more time doing things that encourages discussion and personal interaction. It was a great decision. We spent the summer working puzzles, reading books together, and play games in the dining room table.
